The Railroad Protector Plan (RRPP) About Us

Introduced in 1997, the Railroad Protector Plan ^SM (RRPP) is a broad based property & casualty insurance program created by Insurance Administration Center. We offer a competitively priced Program with a broad range of coverages specifically tailored for contractors, manufacturers, and wholesalers that make up the railroad service support industries. Current classes of business include railroad equipment manufacturing, railroad equipment and supplies, rail line construction, locomotive repair, rail car refurbishment, tie removal and installation, and spur line upgrades.

The RRPP Program generated over $8 million of premium in 2006. We expect continued growth through 2007 and for years to come.

The program is underwritten by The Hartford's Middle Market Programs Division. Rated "A+" by A.M. Best, The Hartford (NYSE: HIG) is one of the nation's largest international insurance and financial services companies, with 2006 revenues of $26.5 billion. As of December 31, 2006, The Hartford had assets of $326.7 billion and stockholders' equity of over $18.9 billion.  The Hartford has a network of specialists dedicated to targeting contractors, manufacturers, and wholesalers that make up the railroad service support industries.

The program is managed and marketed nationally by the Insurance Administration Center and is sold and serviced by a "select network" of dedicated property & casualty agents.

Insurance Administration Center seeks out and identifies high potential market segments, designs compatible insurance programs, and distributes the programs through specialized agent networks - one selected to be responsive to that particular group. Many of these network agents have been working in the railroad industry segment for over 25 years.
